Be very careful with Macy's because even after you've paid off your credit card balance they continue to charge you a residual interest charge because you didn't pay your balance in full each month -- even when you're balance is at 0 they will still charge you for prior balances held (and I'm talking low balances here). Also, like myself, if you didn't know about this "residual interest" (apparently it's in the fine tiny print on the back of your statement.. something they don't point out when you sign up for their credit card) ... it adds up... I am having the same problem. Never received the e-bill. Finally received paper statement of late notice in the USPS mail. Macy's turned this in to all the credit agencys as a delinquent account. this has dropped my 850 fico to 740. Needless to say, I am not happy. After a long conversation, of why they are still charging me interest on a 0 balance, the excuse is it is a revolving account. She also claimed that they must not have my current email address on file, that is why I did not receive the bill. I get daily email/advertisements... Read more

I had a fraudulent charge made on my Macy' American Express credit card Labor day weekend 2015. It has not been settled and they expect me to pay an additional 200 hundred dollars in interest and fees. They told me that I should not pay the charge since I did not make it then they rejected the claim after sitting on it for 6 months because they said that they did not have enough information. We purchased 4 twin beds in mar 2013. They are for our cabin so they are used quite infrequently. After only six months they sagged in the middle. they have gotten worse and now my wife nor i get a good night sleep. We brought them back home for a inspection and were told they were not bad enough by a quarter inch in May 2015 That is with no body weight in it. I purchased a $100 e-gift certificate for a Christmas gift last year, but my friend did not receive it via her email address. On-line chatting was the only way to try to solve the problem, as I could find no way to talk to a live person regarding this problem. I visited Macy's chat room four times, and each time, the rep reassured me that the gift card would be resent promptly, and each time it failed to materialize in my friend's inbox. I normally shop online with Nordstrom and Amazon because of their excellent customer service. But then I decided to give Macy's a try. It is by far the worse retail decision I have ever made. First the online order had a glitch so I called to find out if my order went through. The CSR stated it did not go through and took my order by phone. I ordered a pair of shoes from macys.com and when I received them one shoe made a weird popping noise when I walked. I initiated an exchange the same day (on the 13th) and I told the woman on the phone that I needed to receive the replacement pair of shoes before Wednesday, the 20th. She told me I would receive the shoes before then. I didn't think she really understood me though so I called again to reclarify. Macys - Cellar 10-piece punch bowl set hazard

While washing the punch bowl and taking measures not to drop it, the bowl broke off and cut my hand severely. As I examined the bowl later I discovered the rim of the bowl is extremely thin. I did not apply any pressure while washing, drop the bowl, expose it to extreme temperatures, nor did it contain any water to add additional weight. I was totally surprise when it broke off. I have been a customer of Macy's since 1970. However, I am so tired of their constant MAILING of coupons and paper when we live in such a polluted world. Our children and grandchildren will have to deal with the mess we leave behind. Instead of Macy's taking responsibility and sending the coupon via a text message, they pollute and pollute by using the U.S. to MAIL BILLIONS of paper ads. Isn't this over the top? I have shopped at Macy's for quite a while and have placed a handful of orders in the last couple weeks for shower and wedding gifts. ALL of them were cancelled!! I called customer service and they could not give a valid explanation as to why they were cancelled. After having this happen multiple times now, I will take my $$ elsewhere and purchase from companies that can fulfill orders.
