In the past I always was able to locate what I needed to purchase. My experience this time was different. I tried to purchase a couple of items (an umbrella, raincoat & other accessories) but couldn't find items. So i asked a couple of your employees and they were as clueless as l. Did your competitor organize this store i felt i needed a GPS. Needless to say, I didn't purchase anything... Read more

After being enticed by the initial savings, I took the bait and opened a Macys card. After paying my balance in full, I thought that was that. However, 6 months later I start getting incessant calls from their billing department insisting that I have outstanding charges. After waiting hours on hold, I finally got through to a supervisor, who admitted that while I had paid the full balance of the... Read more

I purchased an expensive Serta adjustable bed from Macy's. When it was first delivered, it was not set up correctly. They sent out another team of 3 delivery men but they did not know how to correctly set up the beds either. Now, I'm waiting for yet another delivery team who they claim have been properly trained to set up an adjustable bed. How can a company like Macy's sell a product that they... Read more

Jennifer Kelly I've been a Macy's card holder for seven years, three years I worked for Macy's as well during the holiday season. Due to a Retinal Disease, which I was diagnosed at age 16, I was unable to work and two years ago was put on Permanent Disability. My income went from six figures to $22,000, a substantial loss of income caused serious financial hardship for me, especially as a single... Read more

Macy's uses or used a company called Worry No More for furniture warranty. I have a 7 year warranty for defects and operational problems. In fact, I have the "Premium" warranty. My reclining couch stopped reclining so I called Worry No More and they told me that because I reported the problem more than 15 days after the problem started, the warranty would not cover the problem. So now I am stuck... Read more

Went to Macy's in Germantown MD today to buy some kitchenware. I had just spent $150 with them online a week previously but apparently online you cant use store credit which I had on a store gift card. So went to use it at the store and they said that the data was unavailable for my store gift card. They told me I had to call the number on the back of the card. Then they did that themselves, but... I placed my online order at 11:42, the payment method was a macy's gift card and it would be picked up in the store. I head out to lunch and at 12:14 p.m. I get a phone call from them, but I was out and did not get the phone. At 12:22 I get an email that my order is cancelled, the voice mail message had said to call back and provide a different order number than the one in my email. When I... Read more

I interviewed at my local Macy's for a job in receiving in August 2014. It has been over a month and I have worked according to their website for employees an average of 5.41 hours a week. The manager told me quite frankly that she does not know how to work a smart phone or computer and is afraid of them, so hours are never posted. The store is still hiring. Initially, I would have been happy... Read more

I've never seen a company that has worse billing practices than Macy's. Last month I made a payment after the due date, so I was charged another $50, which I paid. Well, when I go to make this month payment, it's double my normal payment. Remember, I've already made my normal payment AND made the late fee payment, I should be current right? Then why does the amount due show nearly double...... Read more

Macy's on state street has to be the worst ever. Lazy *** people in HR who don't wanna help with anything but sit on their ***. Like, why are you even working here? Not to mention some of the managers talk to their employees as if they're a baby in special needs. They also love hiring thugs & criminals, they don't do background checks. Anyone can get hired. Managers love making false... Read more
