I called to complain about an interest charge of 2.00 on a zero balance and the automated voice asked me if I wanted it credited. Ah yah!!!

They must be getting a *** of a lot of calls to have put an automatic credit on there when you call. Is Macy's that cash needy to bill customers for paying off their bill? If the cost of business means we pay to keep their net profits up, then get the *** out of the retail business.

I can just imagine the amount of people that have sent in the $2.00 charge and thought nothing of it. This sounds like fraud and interest should be calculated at the time of the original statement cycle not charge us on an assumption that the bill might not be paid in full.

Please read the credit agreement you signed when you first opened this credit card. Every single credit card out there has a 'minimum finance charge'.

Most are $2.00, just like Macy's. The charge was the minimum finance charge for the time your statement was issued until your bill was paid in full.

Perhaps, but getting a $2.00 fee AFTER the bill was paid? They can't seem to remember to send me online bills OR paper so I had no idea I had any balance until I got an email warning.

It's now $4.

My bill was paid in full the statement before.

PS I see this message was from 2014, so they haven't changed.
