Macys complaint by Sandy marshall

i bought my mother and father gift cert. for macys.. my mother went to use them during a sale and was told she could not use them. only cash or credit. i paid cash for both of these cert. it was my understanding that gift cert. were like cash in the stores. i had purchased these because she does like the clothing that you sell. she was very upset and i do not blame her. i know that i will never purchase another gift cert from your store again.. this was done in the enfield, conn store. i hope in the future you will change this policy. i know i wont shop there again

What were the circumstances surrounding the associate not allowing use of the gift card?

There's absolutely no good reason for not honoring your gift card. The sales person obviously didn't know what she was talking about. You could have asked for a manager.

I absolutely think some of the people they employ at Macy's are absolute morons--this sales person sounded like one.
