May 26, 2008 Macys complaint by Eduardo1 |

I ordered an e-mail gift card today, from an CS with a very heavy Hispanic accent. while taking the information, even though I spelled the information to her as much as 4 times per line, she still spelled the name of the person getting the card incorrectly and the spelling of the occasion incorrectly.
When I received the confirmation of the order e-mail and saw that the information was wrong, I immediately called customer service. They said they could not correct the spelling errors even though the Macys representative made the error.
Ms Patricia Ferguson who was handling my problem, said that Macy's would offer 10% off of the next purchase. I felt as a 40 year customer of Macy's this was not any kind of compensation, since every time you have a ad in the newspaper or other media, you give anywhere from 20%-70% off of items.
The Macy's that I have dealt over the past 40 years, used to know how to take care of a customer, especially when it was an error on the part of the Macy's employee.
my on-line order number is 456668113.
I wonder if I will get a response from a management person to satisfy my complaint
