I am writing to confirm what many have already expressed on this site. Purchased nearly six thousand dollars worth of furniture through Macy's and opened a CC to take part in a one year 0% interest promotion. After about three months I noticed that my balance was not going down in accordance to the payments being made. I realized I was being charged "fees" with out my consent nor knowledge. After contacting Macy's they explained it was a credit protection plan. I explained to them that I never signed up for this plan and none of the receipts I have show acceptance of a credit protection plan.

Macy's Bob employee # 9107**** transferred me to an outside "call center" not related to either Macy's nor the credit protection company called EON Intetramark. Spoke with a supervisor at this company by the name of Billy Employee #65260 who said he could not do anything about the charges, but would escalate the request. Billy did provide me with an email to contact EON. That email address is macysbenefits@***.com

Bottom line.... Macy's has engaged in fraudulent and unethical practices designed to fleece its customers with out their knowledge. It is obvious Macy's is making thousands, if not millions of dollars off of this deceptive practice.

I am interested in beginning a class action law suit against Macy's, EON and PCCW Teleservices (Phone Bank) if enough consumers are interested in participating. In addition, I am in contact with a production company to produce an undercover documentary of Macy's engaging in this deceptive practice and plan on distributing this footage to all applicable social and mass media outlets within the next several weeks.

If you are interested in taking part of any of the aforementioned actions, please respond to this post and I will provide you with further contact information.

Monetary Loss: $258.

Macy's is definitely involved in deceptive practices. I had an expired credit card with Macy's was told by an associate that will be renewed on the spot.

The next thing I know I have a second credit card.Macy's states that I would have been asked for my income at the time and possibly other information which I surely would not have provided as that would not be necessary to renew my card.

I clearly stated that I did not want a new card and Associates stated that they were simply renewing my existing account which was a blatant lie. I immediately cancelled both cards which impacted my credit score.
